Hat Creek Alpacas has been providing quality alpacas and related products since our founding in 2001. It is our mission to aid in the growing alpaca industry by breeding and offering only the finest. It is our hope to educate the general public to the advantages of products made of alpaca fiber and thus enhance and encourage the use of this wonderful comodity. To accomplish this, we carry various apparel and accessories for our store and online catalog. We also currently have many of our available products on display in our stores in Colorado. These are located in Art Mart, on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, and in Littleton at Aspen Grove Plaza on South Santa Fe. We offer competitive pricing and the best customer service we can provide.

History
In 1999, a good friend invited me to the Estes Park Wool Market. There they were. Some of the absolute cutest and cuddly looking critters I had ever seen! I had heard of alpacas and in fact currently owned an alpaca poncho that I’d had for many years (and still have). I went home and did some brief homework the next week. To make a long story short, went to visit Lionheart Alpacas and bought our first pregnant female, Angelsdove, the following week. That was followed up with the purchase of our first herdsire, CWF D’Artanion from Cottonwood Farms. With these bloodlines from Peruvian Oro and Peruvian Hemingway, we have managed to produce some of the whitest and brightest whites in the show-ring.
Awards
Our animals have won blue ribbons in all of the show categories ever entered from fleece and spinning competitions as well as halter and performance classes in the show ring.
